We have a very interesting November Club Night organised by Lindie —when nature photographer Bill Chambers from Newcastle will be our guest speaker.
He will do a presentation first, and then we will venture outside to catch the last of the sunset —if possible. As it gets darker (bring a torch) we’ll walk down to the park behind the shopping centre towards the little bridge and the Ocean Drive subway for some ‘low light’ photography.
Bill advises you will need to bring the following items to participate in his hands-on Workshop:
- Tripod — a must
— members will share if you don’t have one
- Camera with wide angle lens – anything wider than a 50mm lens — 28mm is just perfect
- Small Torch — for the night walk
- Flash — optional
Bill stresses that it is most important for members to set their cameras on ‘B’ for Bulb to achieve long exposures. Please make sure you know how to do this on your camera before attending this workshop.
