Preparing for Print Competitions
- Presentations by Lindie and our guest speaker about all aspects of preparing your prints and mounts for the May competition, and discuss home printing vs. commercial, etc.
- See Harry’s Report on page 1 for an overview of this event
- We will display previous print competition entries on stands, for discussi0n and feedback. There will also be a fun ballot of members’ choice winners in each category — your turn to be the critical eye of the judge

Gary is a tutor at U3A’s ‘Photography for Beginners’ class, and around a dozen class-members have been invited to join us for lunch and at our meeting.

Light Painting on Lighthouse Beach
Convened by Allan Rouse and assistant from Kempsey CC A repeat of the highly successful Light Painting photoshoot on the beach in August 2020. This exercise in long exposure photography will be even more elaborate and include burning steel wool effects. 4:45pm: meet at the Lighthouse Beach SLC car park 5:00pm: make your way to the beach and set up tripods in a row as directed —and dial in recommended camera settings Cost $10·00: to cover Allan’s materials and travel expenses This is a ’not-to-be-missed event— more details next month You may be asked to create some of the lighting effects so wear dark clothing and hoodie (0r beanie).
